About this Book:

Like Haley's book, "Roots", this is actual history of an American family from its background in Holland of 1609 until the present. To make real individuals come alive, their actual historical lives are described with realitic background and events with imagination for conversations, setting and some events. It is an interesting historical novel based on real people in American history.

About the Author:

The authors are two brothers who are descendents of the original Dutch settler, Daniel Janse Van Antwerpen. While their story traces their branch of the family down almost four years, they tell of other branches of the family and how those groups migrated to various states in our nation.

Book Review:

Two good reviews include the words of the proofreader who said "the book was so interesting that I often forgot to proofread and simply enjoyed the events. A second review in the Ponchatoula Times (Louisiana) by its editor raved about the book.
