John Anderson’s life was a simple one filled with family, friends, God and nature. He was born in the late 1800’s and lived well into the 1900’s. The world changed immensely during his lifetime, going from horse and buggy to jet airplanes, from pencil and pen to computers, from a rural lifestyle to an urban life for many people. Even though Uncle John lived during this time of great change, he never lost sight of the simple things in life that bring true happiness. His poetry touches on his faith in God, his faith in his fellow man, his love of family and his joy in the smaller things around us. He was not rich monetarily, but he was rich in the things that really matter.
