About this Book:

This is the story of a high-tech immigrant who got swept into the United States with the wave of scientific and engineering talent that this country needed to catch up with the Soviet Union and ultimately win the space race. It is quite different from the fates of millions before him who struggled valiantly to reach these shores and start a new, better life. Jorg had his first contact with America when the friendly US soldiers gave him and his young friends candy and chewing gum in May 1945. Ever since he wanted to find out, what this country was all about. He did find out 15 years later and tells us the story of his discoveries in the new world in a very entertaining way.

About the Author:
