About the Author:

James Hickman is a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the state of Alabama and works as a mental health therapist in his hometown of Huntsville. James served as the President for The National Alliance on Mental Illness in Decatur, Alabama for two years. He is currently the President of the Board of Directors of Our Place, Consumer Run Drop-in Center. James is on the Board of Directors of Wings Across Alabama, the primary voice for consumers of mental health services throughout the state. He served on the Advisory Board of the Alabama Disability Advocacy Program from 2004-2006. He received the Beacon of Hope award from the Huntsville/Madison County Mental Health Center in 2007. He also received the RESPECT award from his fellow consumers across the state of Alabama, in 2012.

James Hickman is the consummate psychotherapist, using his knowledge and experience to improve the lives of the clients he serves.
