About this Book:

This collection of poems was created to honor a very special friend of mine. She came into my life a few years ago and has made a tremendous impact since then. As you can see from the poems I care for her very much. There was a time though that I unintentionally broke her heart and for that I will be eternally sorry. I’ve worked hard to make things up to her since that time. She has since forgiven me which really lifted my spirits and allowed me to create several more uplifting poems. My hope now is we are and will always remain good friends.

About the Author:

Eric W. Schmidt was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1961. He spent his first eighteen years growing up on the west side of the city. After high school he made the US Air Force the next phase of his life spending 21 years in service to his country. Upon retirement he returned to Indianapolis where he and his family now live and work. He has recently taken to writing poetry and “The Lady” is his first book. Post retirement is the third phase of his life and he’s still working out exactly what it means. Writing poetry seems to help though.
