About this Book:

Tom Cursion is a thirty-two year old charismatic catholic priest shepherding a small inner city parish on the East side of Detroit. In his exuberant preaching style one Sunday morning, he relays a harrowing episode during the week in which he almost killed a woman with his car. It causes him confusion and grief as he struggles to identify and help her. During the same liturgy a stranger denounces her as a prostitute from the local red-light district known as Tenth Street. Within time, a couple of Prophecies are given through the movement of the Spirit, in which a special collection is taken and determined to be used to evangelize this morally decayed district which lies just a few blocks from St. Mark's. Almost four hundred and fifty dollars are immediately placed on the altar. A plan, as well as volunteers, evolve through discernment. Three men will buy time from three prostitutes on Tenth Street, and attempt to convince them of their self-worth to turn their lives around. The story revolves around this radical idea, the three different approaches, and how their lives as well as others are changed in the process.

Book Review:

"The people are real and are of what we are -- people who are connected by our humanness, struggling with our humanness and embraced by a God who was not afraid to be human." Bruno Bogacz "I'm not a literary critic but I know you did an excellent job because I felt myself engulfed in the characters' lives. I read parts and then put it down but couldn't get the characters out of my mind." Cathy Hammel "I truly enjoyed the book! It actually kept me engaged & caught me by surprise. You weaved some good story lines." Phil Aponte
