Skippy was rescued from a shelter in upper Michigan after accidently being left behind at a rest area. He ran loose in the area for several months before being captured. He was on his way back go Ohio with a rescue volunteer, when the volunteer decided to keep him. Skippy is also a contributing author for the Schipperke Club of America Bulletin - a quarterly publication.

This book is a compilation of rescue stories, told by the people who took on these cast off dogs and turned them into special, loving companions. The stories are heartwarming and wrenching at the same time. The fact that all the dogs ended up in such special homes is very touching.
