About the Author:

John Wheatcroft was born in 1925 in Philadelphia and served in WWII in the Pacific, was subject to kamikaze attacks and participated in the shelling of Japan just before the nuclear bombings. His anti war stories come from these haunting, and troubling memories. Wheatcroft is the author of several collections nof fiction, poetry and plays including the award winning play Ofoeti. He has served as a Pulitzer juror in poetry.
