About the Author:

A volunteer for more than seven years at her local community shelter, Lauren Hill has met and cared for hundreds of dogs in all shapes, sizes and personalities. An accomplished dog behavior specialist and trainer, she regularly works with difficult dogs to improve their chances for adoption. In addition to volunteering, Hill also originated the UAC Dog Show and helped launch the Amaizing Pet Adventure, two annual events that raise funds and awareness for the Guilford County Animal Shelter and its Medical Trauma Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. Hill has previously written and published fiction; Shelter Love is her first collection of non-fiction stories.
