About this Book:
In this issue of Possibilities, we look beyond our suburban world to consider wider challenges. We honor all the people who died in the Haiti earthquake on January 12, especially a dear nephew of our DWG board member. We are dedicated to assisting with the aftermath by helping the Hands Together Mission of Father Tom Hagan, which supports those living in the poorest part of Haiti's Cite Soleil in Port-Au-Prince. We include a letter describing the devastation from Father Hagan.
Our pieces explore other challenges—from a new career in England to an eye-opening look at Chicago’s Picasso sculpture; from trembling at the sight of a bully to the fear of an unknown house; from the children we raise to the relationships we cherish; we are stronger for the challenges we accept.
Presented in the form of short stories, essays, poems, letters, and memoirs, punctuated with original art and photography, The DuPage Writers Group of Illinois presents its journal, Possibilities, a literary celebration.
