The author is a native Georgian and retired lawyer who holds Bachelor or Arts and Juris Doctor Degrees from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He was active as a lawyer for over 25 years and served as a Municipal Judge for 10 years. He was listed in the first edition of Who's Who in American Law in 1978.
