Elwood R. Kinder III was born and raised in Sikeston, Mo. Sikeston is centrally located directly between St. Louis, Mo. and Memphis Tn. The author spent his first 25 years of life being actively involved in his family's business-Nancy Sweet Shop. The author and his family now own another successful small business in Sikeston.
