About this Book:
Are you concerned about your children and the next generation of Christians remaining strong and faithful to God and the church? Are you conflicted about the differences between what the people in the church sometimes do and say and your personal relationship with God? Our personal relationship with God and our interaction with church leaders and other members are often different, if not at odds. This true story discusses my Father's challenges with the church and how he overcame them to keep his faith in God through adversity. It also discusses my story as his son, which was very different.

About the Author:
Paul Wolven is a preacher's kid who grew up in a fundamentalist church group in the 1950s and 1960s. Although the church was the center of his life spiritually and socially for 30 years, becoming a deacon and a preacher, he finally gave up on the church and neglected his faith for many years. He is working on his return.

Book Review:
My Father's God is a true story about my father's relationship to God from my perspective as a preacher's kid. The story depicts how his commitment to God remained strong through adversity and heartache. The message is not only of his dedication but how our younger generation can fall away from religion despite the commitments of their parents and church leaders, and sometimes even because of them. This is a call to be diligent to keep our children in our faith.
