This book will cover several important and historical features, labeled as “midnight movies,” “genre pictures” or even “psychotronic cinema” from the past one hundred years, all of which have developed select, cult followings. The fifty-two films chosen for this undertaking crossover multiple genres, but can be generally categorized as representations of fantasy, horror and science fiction cinema, which have, by far, the most cultish interpretations. They are the motion pictures closest to my heart, a year’s worth of Saturday night adventures illustrating the good, the bad and the ugly midnight movie milestones.
