About the Author:

The author is a semi retired businessman, who was born on a sharecropper’s farm and at an early age moved to live on their own farm. He was educated in a small rural school. He played football, basketball and baseball whenever farm work permitted. His dream was to be a major league baseball player. He served in the US Army and attended Guilford College on the GI bill while working full time. He owned and operated his own manufacturing business for 40 years. He has been active in church and has been a volunteer coach for many years. He is married and has 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
