However, while I know that one can expect winter to hold onto the northland well into the early part of summer, I still get excited when the snowbanks melt and the ice on the rivers and lakes begins to rot as the sun gets progressively higher and the days get longer. Those days, when the sun streams through my windows and warms the tile floor, I am inspired to sit and write. It is as if the sun’s rays unlock the gates to my memories, and the thoughts and stories come rushing out.
We all have stories and I believe it is important that we share them with others. No one is so insignificant as not to have some sort of influence, for better or worse, upon others. While my stories are written from my perception and may include opinions I have formed, they may differ from yours. You are entitled to yours just as I am to mine. That makes the world more interesting and enriches life for us all.
