About the Author:

This book was written and illustrated by Dianne M. Smith. Dianne lives in Strum, Wisconsin, and has taught Special Education, Emotional and Behavioral Disordered children, (EBD), in K-8th grade. Schools she has taught at in Wisconsin are Marinette, Wausaukee, Amberg, Crivitz, Coleman, Hayward, Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Indian Reservation, and Necedah Elementary. In Minnesota Dianne has taught at Brimhall and D.C.Williams Elementary at Roseville Schools in St. Paul. Her interests are teaching, playing with her grandchildren, writing, painting, traveling, cruising, showing and training Miniature Australian Shepherd dogs Professional Affiliations include: • Council for Exceptional Children - Wisconsin Division • Council for Children with Behavioral Disorders (CCBD) • Wisconsin Association for Children with Behavioral Disorders • University of Wisconsin - Green Bay Alumni Association • Wisconsin Association of Child Care Workers
