Pfeiffer and her husband live in a semi-rural area of Eastern Washington, where they raised seven children. She began writing after they were grown. Geology, history, and Bible study intrigue her. Beside her other interests, Pfeiffer has taught fiction workshops both locally and nationally, and for five years directed a Christian writers conference in Spokane, Washington. She teaches self-fulfillment classes on writing at local colleges and gives endless hours to helping beginning writers.
