About the Author:

The author has served in missions and ministry since 1973 (38 years) with over 24 of those years in Asia with the International Mission Board. He is a graduate of Charleston Southern University (B.A), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Columbia International University (D.Min.). He has self-published Fresh Daily: A Year of Daily Dated Devotions (Xulon Press) in 2009. He has served as a pastor, missionary, administrator, and leadership trainer, and he currently serves as the senior pastor of Saluda River Baptist Church in West Columbia, South Carolina. The devotions in his first book and the devotions in his second volume come from his daily study of the Scripture and his personal walk with the Lord as the expressions of his personal interactions with the Lord.

Book Review:

Christians need a fresh daily encounter with God. We need encouragement, challenge, and instruction from Him through His word, daily spiritual nourishment for our souls, just as physical food nourishes our bodies. That is the purpose of this book of daily devotions. Each devotion is readable in two minutes or less. One or two verses of Scripture are developed into a devotional thought intended to encourage, challenge, or instruct. All will have application. This book will thus appeal to believers who seek a daily personal encounter with God through His word. If previous experience with my first self-published book holds true, folks who are blessed through this book will recommend it to others and will buy additional copies for others as gifts.
