About this Book:

The boy Blue lives his life like so many teenagers… on autopilot. His actions are largely dictated by images: TV, movies, etc. Instead of making conscious decisions, he watches himself as if in a movie, following whatever script has been written. Apathy has replaced purpose. He does well in school, not out of a desire to succeed, but because that's what he is supposed to do. He is kind to his friends because that's what a good kid does. He shares a night with his girlfriend because that's what boyfriends are supposed to do. It's what the script dictates. In the aftermath of the night, he is led to realize the reality that every act does produce a memory. In the years to come he and others will remember him as either the hero or the jerk. He will give his girlfriend a memory to treasure and share with the world, or one that must be hidden forever in embarrassment. The teenager's options are to become a man of God or to fade into average obscurity. Blue will look back on his life and see memories of how he lived it, or how his life just happened to be lived.
