About this Book:

This book speaks of healing and love. These common subjects when framed as poetry and raised to the surface from the deepest levels, take on new colors and strange, perhaps disturbing shapes. Poetry is a way of expressing emotions and subconscious thoughts that are difficult if not sometimes impossible to express in any other way. It is a very personal form of music and if done well, should sing and touch places long buried within. There should be something mysterious and yet very familiar about good poetry. Feelings and emotions in this genre are both individual and absolutely universal. Words that resonate in one heart often resonate in all hearts.

About the Author:

Katherine received a Bachelors and Masters degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She has been a university professor in both the United States and Europe as well as an orchestral bassoonist, chamber music performer and conductor. She is a published poet and story writer. For many years she lived on her own trawler in Boston Harbor. In 1990 she headed West to do archaeological surveys of prehistoric Native American cultures for the BLM and the US Forest Service. She has run a ranch in Colorado, trained dogs for the disabled, and built harpsichords. She is happiest wandering the world, meeting and talking to people and sharing stories, good food and great music.
