Víctor Enrique Agosto Roldán was born in Puerto Rico in 1960. After serving 16 years in the army, with a combat tour in the first war with Iraq (1990-1991), he finished his Bachelor degree in Latin America Literature in 2001. In 2004 he finished is Master of Arts degree with concentration in Latin American Literature. His most recently short story award was on 2003 when he won the Ignacio R. M. Galbís award from the Sigma Delta Pi National Hispanic Society with the story Prolepsis, which is included in this book.
