About this Book:

Channels of Verse is a collection of poetry by the members of the Suwannee River Poets (formerly Chiefland Poetry Group) in the Tri-County (Dixie, Gilchrist, and Levy County) area of Florida. We are a friendship based group whose poetry varies greatly in form and style just as our authors vary from an age enhanced broadway star to youthful wife and mother. Our poetry is often rhyming, or free verse, or haiku - romantic, witty, or soulful. The purpose of our group is to share our love of poetry and encourage the reading, writing, and appreciation of all things poetic. We hope we have succeeded in the publication of this book.

About the Author:

Our authors include: Angela Rains (a young mother writing of her family), Gloria Webb Sutton (writing of her youth and family), Koko (a loving soul sharing her insights), Linda Sides (writing of her experienced and her love of God), Mary Wagers France (posthumously included here she tells of growing up in Appalachia), Nadine Lewis (once a broadway star and lyricist, sharing here some of her memories), Ruth Y. Nott (shares her spirituality, love of quilting and a beloved pet), Sandy Fink (a well published author shares several of her trademark "Circle" poems from her books in progress), and Thomas W. Fumea (shares his views on life and spirituality).
