About this Book:

This is a sequel to "Spirit of Rebellion"--my first collection of poems. "Canzoni dimenticate" means "forgotten songs" in Italian. The subject of poems is once again the humorous assertion of love and the individual in a nihilistic autoerotic technological society.

About the Author:

Sometimes shocking, but always honest and to the point...Shaumyan provides a profound look at day to day American life with a language throbbing from the city streets. Though Shaumyan was born in Russia, his poetry most certainly fits into the alternative American literature tradition of the post-beats.

Book Review:

Cleverly-written, "Canzoni dimenticate" blurts out what the 20th century man is afraid to say out loud. It's a combination of raw emotions and stellar moments: "Escalate clovers in shafts of gray, the most peaceful revenge is indifference.." (From the poem, "Indifference") Not for the highly principled. Great read. --Krisette Sia, Editor, "Flaming Asian Ink"
