BEELOVED is Book I. in a series of adventure stories, about a little bumblebee named Bubby. The stories emphasize that having heart and the love in that heart are the greatest weapon there is against hate. Bubby was a real bumblebee that I rescued from being tortured. His fur had been rubbed off and a small plastic string had been tied around his neck. I made a little garden out of lantana and petunias in a pot and took him home with me. He was very weak, but he still wanted to climb up the lantana. He would reach the top then fall back down into the dirt. I was worried about him and looked in the refrigerator and found little packets of honey my brother had got at a fast food drive thru. I put some on my finger and offered it to Bubby. He loved it! He sucked a bunch of it up and in the morning he flew away. I loved the time I got to spend with him and writing the story he inspired. I hope you have as much fun reading his story as I did writing it down! Thank you.

I have to say many hearts and many hands helped with this story, and we all had a great time together. I'm thankful for a loving family and loving friends. These are blessings you cannot buy. My Father was and still is my inspiration for caring about little things and weak things that are often overlooked and have no voice of their own.

Bubby comes from love. He's homemade and from the heart. If you can see an old patchwork quilt made out of rags as beautiful, then you'll see Bubby too.
