“Alaska had three shots to do me in, but never got the job done..."
This is a story about a trip to Alaska with friends and family.
My intent was to retrace the path of the trip my wife and I had taken a few years earlier and to show Alaska to others. We’d planned the trip for several months and I was looking forward to getting back up to Alaska, fishing and sightseeing.
We planned to fly into Anchorage, take the ferry from Whittier to Valdez. Drive up to Fairbanks and around to Denali, down through Talkeetna, Palmer; back to Anchorage and down to the Kenai to fish. Over to Seward for the Fjords and back to Anchorage to fly home. Fourteen days of fast paced sightseeing, laughing with friends and enjoying Alaska.
However…things don’t always go as planned…
