My life as I was entering into adulthood at a secret military outpost in northern West Germany during the Cold War years. This includes meeting the challenges of dealing with people of the feminine persuasion, living in a foregn culture, and putting up with various army regulations and foibles. My recollection is interwoven with tales from others who also participated in this totally unique once-in-a-lifetime experience - probably never happened before and will never happen again.
