Third oldest of eight children, family and genealogy have always been an important part of my life. As co-founders of BIGS, Buffalo Irish Genealogical Society in Buffalo, NY, my husband James and I have traveled to Ireland in search of our ancestral homes. Now we travel to Ireland to reunite with the wonderful friends we made there.

This book is unique in the fact that these poem/stories are about real people, places and events that occurred while on my quest for family heritage in Ireland. All my original illustrations and drawings were drawn free-hand in pencil then scanned and saved as black and white drawings to get the wanted effect.
My collection of poems, prose, and drawings was inspired as I tried to make sense of my first experiences with my Irish-American heritage, being third generation descendant of an exile, and by the local folk that troubled themselves on our behalf in our searches.
