Gwinnett Humane Society is dedicated to assisting companion animals in and around our local community. Through the efforts of many self-less volunteers, we have been able to foster and adopt hundreds of animals. In recognition of the dedication of our volunteers and in the hopes of enlightening the hearts of all animal lovers, we put together this collection of heartwarming stories to demonstrate the variety of ways animals can touch our spirits and become forever parts of our lives.

Gwinnett Humane Society. located in Lawrenceville, GA (northeast of Atlanta), was founded in 1979 to promote animal welfare. We strive to prevent cruelty to animals and to reduce pet overpopulation by:
• Educating the public regarding the humane treatment of animals
• Promoting responsible pet ownership
• Encouraging the spaying and neutering of companion animals
Gwinnett Humane Society is a local volunteer supported,
non-profit, charitable organization supported entirely by private donations. We do not operate a shelter and receive no government funds; we rely solely on donations to support our programs and on our volunteers who donate their time and energy to carry out our mission.
