About this Book:

A seven-year research odyssey, including interviews with Elders, to find, record and preserve the native crops used by my ancestors, the Seneca people of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois). In paricular, the crops utilized at Ganondagan, a large Seneca village, now a State Historic Site near Victor, New York. Readers are encouraged to learn about these endangered foods, try the included native recipes and to help with the preservation of the fast-disappearing traditional seeds.
