About this Book:

Upon learning of their nephews’ trip to Canada, Cora and Martha, two elderly roommates residing in a west central Illinois nursing home, dream about taking a ‘one last fling’ vacation for themselves. They plan and plot their escape. The long road to Canada stretches out before the men as they experience many difficulties in their journey north. A third man (to be totally ignored by the other two men) will ride with them. His mission is to ‘monitor’ and record the reactions of the two men towards each other. Daytona Beach beckons to the two old ladies, because that is where “all the college kids go”. They come face to face with hardships and many challenges in order to reach their destination. The first challenge being….how will they get there? Travel with these people throughout these pages filled with humorous experiences. For indeed, sometimes fiction is stranger than the truth. (Or is it the other way around?)

About the Author:

I am married and have children and grandchildren. I recently had my own photography studio and took early retirement. I love to read and enjoy movies that are filled with comedy. I wrote this book with the desire of it becoming a family fun-filled movie. Laughter is good for the soul.
