About this Book:

We were not farmers, so we didn't see amber waves of grain. I saw myself in a ruffled white apron gathering gleaming white eggs as a gentle hen looked on. My husband saw the end to threats from irate neighbors when our three horses escaped into suburban lawns and flower beds. Our girls saw endless rides on horseback through pristine meadows. THE LAND saw a family who needed an education on farming.

Potholes in Paradise is a humorous account of a family moving from suburbia to forty-two acres at the end of a blacktop road in Skagit County, WA. Her accounts are sometimes sad, sometimes thought provoking...but always true. But mostly she looks are her families' nineteen years at the back of beyond with humor.
