About this Book:

Equipped: Equipping and Empowerment for Christians and Lay Ministers is a comprehensive curriculum to train ordinary Christians to minister in their churches and communities. Many people are struggling, and pastors and evangelists cannot help them alone. Christians need the tools to do their part. The focus of this workbook series is to train Christians to overcome the struggling in their own lives and gain the knowledge to help others. This course helps Biblically equip and empower Christians under the direction of the Holy Spirit to bring seekers out of darkness and into God’s marvelous light. Volume Two covers motivational, Manifestational, and ministry gifts. It provides research on Church history including controversial issues and gives an introduction to Spirit baptism and tapping into the power using agreement, intercession, spiritual warfare, fasting, anointing, praise, and worship. It explains our Judeo-Christian Heritage and the importance of supporting Israel.

About the Author:

Like the Biblical Ruth, Carolyn Duncan Cecil is a gleaner—not of grain, but of truth nuggets and ways to apply the Word of God to everyday life. She has collected and expounded upon truth from the Bible, sermons, books, seminars, and experiences. Carolyn grew up on a small-town family-owned farm, which instilled an appreciation for life and hard work, and a strong sense of right and wrong. Carolyn’s dad was stationed many faraway places, which helped her develop a love of geography, cultures and people. Carolyn grew up in the church and served as a Sunday school teacher and a prayer and small group leader. Carolyn taught professionally for nearly four decades, and now teaches on many Christian subjects, but her favorites are the Holy Spirit and the Spirit Baptism.

Book Review:

“I was in a very dark place when I first met Carolyn. Even though she didn’t know me she took the time to help me. I started the class to learn more about God and the Bible but I learned more than I anticipated. I learned the truth that no one ever could explain to me. I also learned to help others just as Carolyn helped me. I learned how to pray and what to pray for myself and others. The most important thing I learned was how to be free of myself and my past. I never saw myself ministering to others, but now I find myself sharing what I’ve learned and it’s amazing how many really don’t understand the simplicity of Christ. This class has answered several years of questions for me. I can’t say enough how much this class has helped me become the me I’m supposed to be.” – Rhonda from Roanoke, Virginia.
