About this Book:

This is the story of survival by a 14-year old boy soldier trained by Hitler’s army to kill or be killed in the brutal fighting on the Eastern Front. Late in the war Alex and the rest of the boys in his Austrian eighth grade class are drafted and sent directly to boot camp on their way to the Eastern Front. Naïve and excited to get into the action Alex and the boys are quickly relieved of any notion of the adventure, romance and heroics of war. The deafening noise of the weapons of war and the up close slaughter quickly brings home the brutality of war and the unlikely chances of surviving for another minute, another day.

About the Author:

Steve has also contributed to a variety of anthologies and magazines.
