Dru Philmont and her softball teammates see a mysterious girl being kidnapped outside their playing field at their school, Spencer Hall in Nottingham, PA. When the girl is dragged by two men and thrown into a van, something falls out of the girl's back pack. The girls retrieve the article and find that it is the girl's journal. They read the journal and this leads to an investigation involving the Pennsylvania State Police and Dru's father, an investigator with the Chester County District Attorney's Office. The girls get caught up in a deadly cat and mouse game when the girl escapes and shows up at their school -- and they discover that she and Dru could pass for twins!
