Like all women, Daphne Dorsey-Ennis was no different in that she had her dreams and desires of husband, family, and home. For her, those dreams would materialize and her desires happen; an adoring husband, a home filled with laughter and love overflowing with 15 beautiful children. This was her inheritance from the Lord. What she did not know was that around the corner, and down the road, a ways was a crossroad waiting for her commitment to go one way or the other. A intense sorrow would hunt her down and attempt to overwhelm her and try as it may beat her down, beat her up, and leave her wounded or dead; spiritually, emotionally, physically. It would come in the heavy darkness of her husband’s death and wrapped her in shrouds of persecution, rejection, loneliness, lies, deceit, and grief as her weary thoughts shifted to the wellbeing of her children, now fatherless.
