Catherine was an ordinary young girl, that was chosen to help someone of an unknown era.He had a dire need. She would aide in her new friend returning home, to saving dragons from distinction. Catherine was kind and she had some good friends that she could count on. Her grandfather would tell them stories about the secret of Emerald Peak but they thought they were just stories. But very shortly as they leave on the hiking trip they had planned all year, they soon realized that the stories were actually true. The forest opening up and the beautiful floweres and fruit and the colors were all so amazing. Then the most unusal creature fell into their laps, shiny green pebbles become a very important clue through the whole story.

My Name is Cathy Benoit. I am from a small town down south, Gueydan, La. I love Gueydan. I grew up there and I am proud to be from Gueydan. I did leave when I got married. I went into child care and I began telling stories to the children, they always enjoyed the stories. I loved teaching children and helping them to succeed in their studies. As I got older I began doing some writing, mainly some of the stories that I told in earlier years. Now retiring gracefull writing is my main thing that keeps me busy. Reading is so important for our society and books should never be forgotten.
