Katharine Clark Lord grew up in Houston, Nashville and Washington, D.C. Lucinda Young Matthews grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, in a family that loved to cook and entertain. Kathy and Cinda met during cooking classes in Houston in the 1970's and began their catering business in 1976.
