But where do we learn to communicate? How do we learn to resolve conflicts? High school speech class certainly doesn't cut it. Even college courses offered in Communications, Psychology and Sociology fall woefully short in preparing students for real life problems in these areas. The majority of marriage courses and Bible studies offered in churches only scratch the surface. Some astute ones will observe those who appear successful and try to imitate them. Others look to self-help books or counseling. The truth is most of us end up learning how to communicate primarily from watching our parents or caretakers while growing up, and unconsciously following their example. And unfortunately, it's often not the best. Usually, we are left just trying to figure it out on our own. If we're really honest, no matter who or where we are in life, we could all use a little more help in this area. That is why I created this course.
