A colorful refernce book and price guide for the souvenirs from the 1901 Pan=American Exposition, the world's fair in Buffalo in Buffalo, NY where President McKinley was assassinated. It contains 48 well-organized chapters (each devoted to one type of collectible) with over 90 illustrated pages, over 70 of which are in color. About 2,000 items are listed and valued in a Price Guide found at the back of the book. The large majority of the listings have never before been in print.

Fred Lavin is a long-time collector of Pan=American Exposition memorabilia and founder and President of the Pan=American Exposition Collectors' Society, which has included over 100 members world-wide. In the expo's centennial year of 2001, he often spoke about the Pan-Am and organized and was guest curator of Tangible Memories, a huge display of Pan=Am items at the SUNY at Buffalo.
