The book is source comic relief for the person from away that comes to live in Maine. There's lots to learn about the local experience of becoming part of a new culture. Through photos and text the flatlander realizes things are a bit different here and there is definitely a new language to be learned. Once initiated in the differences one finds that this really is a great experience.

About the Author:

The author Richard and his wife Marilyn moved to Maine in 2005 from Connecticut. We have taken up writing books as a hobby. Richard has published one book including poetry and photograph " Journeys to the Far Reaches of the Mind in 2006". Spending over 30 years vacationing in Maine has resulting in having taken photos of many areas in Maine and inspired much of the poetry written.
