About this Book:

Have you ever wondered why there is an elephant-shaped building on the beach in Margate? Who built a concrete ship (or why it sank near Cape May)? How Jersey Shore towns got such unusual names as Ship Bottom, Loveladies, and Rio Grande? In 'Jersey Shore History & Facts' you will find answers to all of these questions, and many more. So join author and photographer Kevin Woyce for a breezy tour of our coastal history, from pirates, shipwrecks, and lighthouses to Cape May's oldest hotels, abandoned forts, and today's most popular boardwalks. Illustrated with more than 70 original black and white photographs and historic postcard images.

About the Author:

Kevin Woyce is an author, photographer, and lecturer. A lifelong resident of the Garden State, he lives in Lyndhurst, NJ with his wife, Carin, and their miniature schnauzer. He began photographing New Jersey's lighthouses and landmarks in the early 1990s. His other regional history books include 'Hudson River Lighthouses & History.'
