About the Author:

Krystal Atkinson is the Senior Leader of Surgical Services at HCA Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center in Fredericksburg, VA. Over her career she has been a staff nurse, O.R. Educator and Surgical Services Director. Her desire is to see each and every individual strive to his or her personal best through ongoing education and continuously challenging themselves. Krystal has been married to her husband Rick for over 18 years. They reside in Richmond with their 3 children: Ashley 17, Brenden 13 and Billy 9.
