Arthur W. Hendon was born near Forreston, Texas in 1928. He graduated from Texas Tech with a BS degree in Petroleum Geology in 1951. Work experience (30+ years) was in the oil & gas industry primarily in West Texas. Additional accomplishments include: Captain - High School Basket Ball team, Eagle Scoout, served in the Coast Guard as a MoMM 3/c, Private Pilot and retired from the Civil Air Patrol as a Lt.Col.
