A former biology teacher, recently retired, Paul M. Gomez has a varied background in both the sciences and the arts and has raised roller pigeons for 50 years. He was as studio potter for 15 years and started a nursery specializing in various palm species. He has been involved in music, poetry, and painting and completed a masters degree in fine arts.
