About this Book:

Dear Reader. Just imagine; you receive a letter this afternoon, (or sadly, perhaps, you or a loved one already has.) It says that the recent tests are positive. It confirmed the discussion your doctor had with you, and your worst fears. You have cancer. How long do you think it would take for you to question, why…why hasn’t a cure for this disease been discovered after sixty years of extensive research? What is it about a conspiracy, or cover-up, real or imagined that intrigues us? What if a cure for cancer had been discovered yesterday or even years ago? Would it be made available to everyone, or just a select few? Who might want to keep such a secret, and would it even be possible? This fast paced thriller presents rich characters including a love-struck scientist, a spy posing as a confidant, a ruthless assassin, and a homeless man who holds the key to the mystery. The interaction between these characters and others form the core of this character-driven cliffhanger. It also pulls together a theory as to how such a thing could happen and more importantly, why.

About the Author:

Patrick lives in a small border town with his wife Concetta and two children, Vanessa and David. A lifelong fascination with why people create or join secret societies as well as questionable government candor led him to write this book.

Book Review:

This book has an exceptionally unique approach. It takes a very real social issue and presents it in a captivating manner. Unlike other books and current information about such a possibility existing, it is not fanatical, accusatory or malicious in its delivery. It is in fact a well-written story that entertains and engages the reader. It suggests a way in which a cure for cancer could be discovered and the reasons that it may well have been suppressed. With each chapter the reader begins to wonder—what if? By the end of the book, you are completely connected to the characters with ideas of your own. Throughout many of the pages, you will find you have raised an eyebrow more than once. The rich characters, make you feel what they feel, and connect on a very personal level. One in two men and one in every three women in the United States will develop cancer during his or her lifetime. A must read that touches everyone.
