About this Book:

Do you long to make a difference in this world but still provide for your family? This book will show you how to achieve both goals by becoming a fraternal life insurance counselor. Understanding fraternalism and translating your understanding into financial success is an art. Kitchen Table Time can be considered the "bible" of fraternal selling -- everything you need to know to be successful, happy and content within the industry, the best profession available, according to the author. Fraternalism is not simply the "not-for-profit" version of the commercial insurance industry -- it's vastly different and understanding the nuances of what the industry is -- and is not -- is the main focus of this book. Selling in the fraternal industry is more a life calling and this book reflects the insights gained from a million-dollar producer who's also been recognized as his organization’s top Fraternalist nearly every year.

About the Author:

James Dietrich, F.I.C., has been a district representative for FaithLife Financial in Martensville, Saskatchewan, Canada since 2001. In his first six years, he qualified for the Society's highest award five years in a row and was recognized as the fraternal leader in four of those six years. James also has been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table since 2005. James believes that being a Fraternal Insurance Counselor allows him the opportunity to make a difference in his members' lives, their ministries and the communities they serve. His desire is to help new recruits achieve that same success.

Book Review:

When James Dietrich started in the fraternal business, nothing existed to help new recruits learn the art and craft of selling in that industry. He was relegated to reading a lot of high-end producer stuff from MDRT and Canadian insurance industry journals. Some was useful but most didn't apply to the fraternal business. There wasn't anything about what makes “fraternalism” different and how a sales rep could capitalize on it and realize greater success. After suffering through many trails and errors, James achieved that ultimate success and set out to put his experiences to paper in an effort to help others who come behind him achieve success earlier and a bit easier. This book will be considered the "bible" or "little black book of wisdom" for fraternal insurance counselors for years to come.
