Dr. Wilkins, attended law school, served as a police officer, started several successful businesses, and non-profit associations, he also served approximately 46 months in federal correctional institutions, which provides him with a unique perspective of the reality of the Criminal Justice System, from both Inside & Out.

A detailed looked at the day to day life of an inmate is grahically discussed, the unimaginable pain and suffering of the victims is discussed, and the issues surrounding the loved ones and the obstacles they must face when supporting a loved one who is incarcerated (or a victim) is also detailed. Finally realistic solutions too what must be done is given in such clear details that you can't help but wonder why aren't many of his suggestions being implemented now.
