About this Book:

Northroader. What the heck is a “Northroader”? Being from Missouri, I’m well aware of endearing terms like, “Redneck” but I had never heard of a “Northroader”. Everyone knows what a “Redneck” is. Or rather, everyone has preconceived ideas of what a “Redneck” is. But few know what a “Northroader is. Unless you live in Alaska. Are they people to be feared? Why do folks look as if you’ve committed a mortal sin when you say you live off the “Northroad”? Is there some kind of monster who lives on the “Northroad?” You might just find out that "Northroaders" and "Rednecks share the same passions. Do you dare travel the “Northroad?” Take a ride at you own risk!

About the Author:

Pamela Bruce was born a middle class late baby boomer in Missouri and was raised by her parents and grandparents. Pamela has been writing since the age of 13 and has self-published, "Silent Complicity";a gift to women, "Spill Through & Expose", a book of poetry written by Pamela's son's, Robert & Jeremy Simmons, and "Crossing my T's and Dotting my I's, a book of poetry written by Pamela. While living in St. Louis, MO, Pamela was driving to a Plaza to purchase George Straight concert tickets when she was broadsided by a drunk driver. Pamela suffered a Traumatic Brain Injusry. After much rehab, but still unable to work, Pamela's writing took a turn to the lighter side of life. While traveling in tow with her husband to Alaska, Pamela writes about the wit she sees in people.

Book Review:

Pamela Bruce narrates her own stories about real, colorful characters living at the end of the road in Nikiski, Alaska. The stories are simple and bring out humor and emotion, while comparing "Northroader" and "Redneck" behaviors. Pamela's narration about the funny and unusual events that take place among the folks in Nikiski,Ak and the folks in Sedalia, MO is good and so funny, you'll laugh until you cry!
