Bennie L. Newell Sr. was born in Hazlehurst, MS, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Isiah (Polly) Newell. Served in the U. S. Navy, married his high school sweetheart Deborah and is blessed with four children. He attended California Baptist College (Univ.) and graduated with a BS & BA degree. Bennie is presently on staff at Chastain Middle School in Jackson, MS and a member of Mount Helm Baptist Church.
From One Sibling to Another was inspired after the unexpected death of his Father.
